Our Process
You’ve come to us because you have a set of expectations you want settled, and in order for us to do so and supply a finished product that aligns (and hopefully goes beyond) with those expectations, we need to make sure the entire ride goes smoothly as planned…beginning right when you land on our site!
To give you an idea of how we operate our projects, let us briefly walk you through each step:
First off, we’re happy you found us! Hopefully this is the first point of contact of a long lasting business partnership. If you don’t end up choosing us as your agency, we’d still enjoy connecting with you on Facebook or Twitter…so be sure to check us out!
The first step to our process, and most every process, is the introduction and initial consultation. After you first contact Waterside Media or fill out our Request A Quote form, we’ll follow up with our Project Questionnaire Form (if needed based on the detail of your initial inquiry), any questions we might have, and most importantly to introduce ourselves!
This stage can take anywhere from 2 to 7 days, pending on the complexity of the project.
After we’ve gathered all of the information from our initial discussions and Project Questionnaire Form, we’ll then put together a well laid out proposal stating the specifics of the project according to expectations along with the budget needed to move forward. This will be sent back to you for review and any necessary revisions. If you agree to sign off, we then head to planning.
So, you’ve chosen to do business with Waterside Media…excellent! Once you’ve agreed to move forward with the project, we’ll begin planning out the project schedule. This includes determining the specific project tasks involved, estimated time each task will be completed, and gathering any additional information we need to get started.
Using the detailed information collected in both steps #1 and #2, we’ll come out with our first comp (usually provided as an image) of your project. This will include most of the styling that will be present in the final product, but its main navigation and architecture will not be accessible. After receiving your feedback, we’ll proceed with revising the comp if necessary.
After we’ve finalized the design, we’ll move forward in bringing the product to life so it functions according to plan. This will involve converting the finalized template to the proposed technology (XHTML, PHP, etc.). If we’re developing a custom CMS or Shopping Cart driven site, at this point we’ll also begin integrating the agreed upon platform to be utilized throughout the website.
Once the project is live and up on our development server, we’ll send over to you for more feedback. You can then navigate the site and send back over any remaining changes needed. After the last batch of revisions and final testing…you’re all set and ready to…
What more can be said?…enjoy the finished product! And Happy Marketing! =)
